Open Door
The Open Door program has been in existence at Appalachian State University for five and a half years. What began as a “sticker program” has since grown into an endeavor adopted and woven into the fabric of the university. Open Door provides individuals with a chance to make a commitment to being open and accepting of others. One way of visually showing your support for the program is by displaying our logo, free to you for signing up!

6th Annual Diversity Celebration
An educational endeavor that unites the university with the community at large is the annual Diversity Celebration. “The More You Know, The More You Grow - Water the Garden," is the theme for the 6th Annual Diversity Celebration, a week-long series of multicultural events at Appalachian, April 14-21 2007. This event is free and presents a huge variety of culturally enriching and entertaining experiences for people of all ages.
